ShaneyB: Did you negotiate the 35 directly with the dealer or on-line and are you tied to that dealership for all your servicing?

Negotiated it with the dealer at the time but he just applied their 'latest discount code'.

Not tied to a particular dealership at all.

Ok, well that's a little misleading. There's no facility to enter a discount code, only the Black Friday campaign was cheaper. The only option is that your dealership contributed the equivalent of 5 per month to your plan. Obviously people are welcome to see if their dealerships will do the same, but IMO it's no different to giving an extra 180 off the car

OK. If I can get a Service Plan on my new C43 AMG Estate for 35 per month inc VAT then will go for it as others appear to have done the same. But if its way up from this price then probably wont bother and pay for each service separately.

The current price is 40. I wouldn't expect any cheaper

Assume the 35 ShaneyB is paying is the 40 with a Black Friday discount or the dealer contribution you referred to?

Yes, or it could be from before the price rise. It was 35 only a few months ago

OK thanks will try for 35 but 40 doesn't sound too bad for what you get. Incidentally, if you sign up for a 4 year SP does the price stay the same as by then it will be outside the initial 3 year warranty which may have some impact on servicing costs?

You can now only set up for a maximum of 3 years. They have got rid of the 4 year option
