Yes the splines are in perfect condition, the tool doesn't quite go down over the valve enough to reach the spline bit,, it's like part of the valve is too wide for the tool,, I have double checked the tool is the correct one laser tools code5471, so totally stuck!
Was advised to tap it down with a hammer, buy I tried this and it just won't go down?.
Also, after gave up and re attached all the fuel pipes there is now a horrible knocking sound, Ithink from number 1 injector area, does this mean I got a bit of dirt into the lines? Or something worse????
