My usual station is big enough to allow cars to be at a pump each with plenty of space down the middle to drive through. The hoses are plenty long enough to reach both sides of a car, including the Range Rover I had without trouble. The only downside of this station is that it is attached to a supermarket so whilst you can go to either side, the road layout is one vehicle width so if someone is waiting for the corect side you cannot overtake and go to the free pump. Patience is needed at these times! I only fill up once/twice a month so to be honest, it doesn't worry me much.
