That used to drive me mad as well, One forecourt i used to vist you would often get white vans and chavved up jap wagons hurtling towards you as you were coming away from the forecourt. Luckily most round my way now have big one way signs that are hard to miss.
The one that really annoys me more is at one filling station i visit some people wait in the middle of the forecourt for a pump to become free and a que gathers up behind them which in some cases in the summer has backed up onto the dual carriage way off ramp which to me is not only extremely selfish but also dangerous.
